Presented by the Fraternal Order of Moai’s Kon-Tiki chapter, Dayton is host to a month-long  festival celebrating the Tiki art, culture and music inspired by the mid-20th century.

An art exhibition at Color of Energy Gallery at 16 Brown Street features paintings on velvet, carved masks, and throw backs to the 1950s in prints, sculpture, and paintings.

Friday, July 6 kicked off the festival with live music, lots of Hawaiian shirts, and hand-carved tiki totems.

The festival continues through the end of July, with special events planned on the 14th and the 21st.  Learn more at http://fraternalorderofmoai.org/callofthetropics/index.php
