Michele BonDurant: Viewed and Constructed
Michele BonDurant recent paintings and collages are exhibited in the solo exhibition “Viewed and Constructed” at Dutoit Gallery.
Working from observation, BonDurant’s subject matter of landscape and architecture are rendered with simplified forms, texture and lighting.
From the exhibition statement: “BonDurant paints with oils on canvas, linen, paper and yupo. Another step occurs in the studio. By creating collages, this further reduces some of the en plein air work. This allows BonDurant to experiment with the marks, color and form found through different application techniques.”
“Viewed and Constructed” is on view October 7 through October 30, 2016 at Dutoit Gallery, Front Street Studios, 1001 East Second Street, building 100, 3rd floor inside door BC. Learn more about BonDurant’s work at http://michelebondurant.net/
