Michele BonDurant: Viewed and Constructed

Michele BonDurant recent paintings and collages are exhibited in  the solo exhibition “Viewed and Constructed” at Dutoit Gallery.

Working from observation, BonDurant’s subject matter of landscape and architecture are rendered with simplified forms, texture and lighting.

From the exhibition statement: “BonDurant paints with oils on canvas, linen, paper and yupo. Another step occurs in the studio. By creating collages, this further reduces some of the en plein air work. This allows BonDurant to experiment with the marks, color and form found through different application techniques.”
